I am in my final semester at Temple University working towards a Bachelor of Science in Tourism & Hospitality Management with a Minor in Event and Entertainment Management.
I have had a variety of internships and volunteer experiences which have helped me to grow professionally and also consider what I truly love in this industry.
The way that all of our events classes starts is "what is your why?" A purpose and passion in this industry is paramount to any skill you could pick up, because while it seems glamorous, the only constant is change. Personally, my why starts back when I was five years old and designing our dinner table with my extended family of sixteen at the time. From putting out table cards to taking drink orders, my family all had a feeling I'd end up in events. When I got to Temple and realized this was truly something I could pursue, I jumped in headfirst. I am extremely purpose-driven and love bringing people together and thats what events are all about. Whether it be here at Temple, with the non-profit I work for, or in a corporate setting a common denominator is bringing people together, and a lifelong career doing that just feels right
